Hi, I'm

Dr. Cary Yurkiw, DC

Practice Coach · 33 Years in Practice · 25 as an Owner

School taught you how to treat. Nobody taught you how to run the place.

I coach doctors, therapists and clinic owners on the half of the job that never made it onto the curriculum. Fees, systems, hiring, the numbers that actually matter, and how to still be doing this in decade three.

Start with the free webinar, join a mastermind, work with me one-on-one, or have me audit your practice and put it in writing.

Step 1 · Start free

You don’t have a new-patient problem first.

You have a dropout problem. People start, then drift. This hour is the three-step close that turns a visit into a kept plan — before you spend another dollar finding strangers.

The October Protocol

Tuesday, October 27, 2026  Â·  9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET  Â·  45 min  Â·  live

In forty-five minutes, you’ll walk away with:

  • Why good clinics still leak — the visit ends without a decision
  • How to convert before they stand: one job, one reason, one date
  • A plan short enough to keep, not a twelve-week speech
  • The same close in every room — doctor, therapist, and desk
  • How to hold the book without buying more strangers this month
Free Live, with a recording for everyone who registers. VIP Q&A + booklet is after the hour, not the price of the ticket.

Step 4 · The audit

An outside set of eyes on the whole thing.

Everything above is coaching — you bring the questions. This is the reverse. I go through your practice the way an owner would, tell you what I find, and put it in writing. Two formats: one runs remotely from your numbers and systems, the other adds a half day on your floor. Both end with the same report and the same hour going through it together.

Remote · anywhere

Remote Practice Audit

Your numbers, your systems, your paperwork. Most of what leaks out of a practice leaks somewhere you can measure, and you're too close to it to see.

  • Intake pack — schedule and billing data, fee guide, care plan materials, intake forms
  • A short walkthrough video you film on your phone during a busy hour
  • 60-minute call with you, plus 30 minutes with whoever runs your front desk
  • The written report, within one week
  • 60-minute debrief call once you've read it
$1,950

On-Site Practice Audit

Everything in the remote audit, plus the half day I spend watching your practice actually run. Some things only exist in real time.

  • Everything in the remote audit
  • A half day in your clinic during normal hours
  • Patient flow and room use watched in real time
  • The first ninety seconds of a new patient, as it actually happens
  • Time with your team on the floor, not on a call
$4,500

Week one

The look

Remotely through your numbers and systems, or in person on your floor. Either way I'm looking for the same thing — where visits, time and money quietly get lost.

Within one week

The written report

What I found, what it's costing you, and what to change first. Written plainly, in a document you keep.

Once you've read it

The 1-on-1 debrief

We go through the report together, in order of what moves the needle fastest. Your questions, answered directly.

What we look at

  • Scheduling, recall, and the gap between booked and shown
  • Fees, care plans, and how they're presented
  • Front desk scripts, and what a new patient is actually told
  • Team roles — who's doing work that isn't theirs
  • The three numbers worth watching, and where yours sit
  • Patient flow and room use, watched live On-site
  • The first ninety seconds of a new patient On-site

On-site visits cover Kelowna and the Central Okanagan; Vancouver and the Lower Mainland by arrangement, travel quoted separately. The remote audit has no geographic limit. Everything you send me is de-identified — no patient names, ever.

Most of this started as notes to myself.

Things I worked out the slow way, in my own clinic, and wrote down so I wouldn't lose them. Eventually they became a book.

Building a Thriving Practice on Your Own Terms

A professional's guide to practice success for the modern clinician

There's a default version of practice you get handed. The hours, the volume, what a successful clinic is supposed to look like. I ran that version for a long time before working out that almost none of it was compulsory.

This is the other way. How to decide what you're actually building before you build it, then make the schedule, the fees and the team fit that — instead of the other way round.

Written for the practitioner who doesn't want somebody else's version of a successful practice.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you'd want to know before starting.

Do I have to do them in order? +

No, but most people get more out of it by starting with the webinar. It's free, it's forty-five minutes, and it gives you the foundation the others build on. This cycle is The October Protocol — retention and conversion of people already in the clinic. If you already know you want the mastermind, a one-on-one, or an audit, start there.

Remote or on-site — which should I choose? +

If your problem is in the numbers — patients not rebooking, a gap between booked and shown, fees that haven't moved in years — the remote audit finds it, and it finds it for less. Choose on-site when you suspect the problem is in the room: how patients move through the space, what your team actually says, where the day gets away from you. Those things don't show up in a spreadsheet. If you're not sure, book the free 15-minute consult and I'll tell you honestly which one fits.

What do I have to send you for a remote audit? +

I'll send you a short list: schedule and billing summaries, your fee guide, your care plan materials, and your intake paperwork. Everything comes de-identified — I never need patient names, and you should never send them. Most owners pull it together in under an hour. I'll also ask you to film about ten minutes on your phone during a busy stretch, which tells me more than you'd expect.

Who is this for? +

Licensed health professionals — chiropractors, physiotherapists, naturopaths, dentists, clinic owners — who want a practical place to start, without the hype.

Will my team know they're being assessed? +

That's your call, and it's worth thinking about before you book. On-site, I'm a visitor in the clinic and most teams settle within the first half hour. What I won't do is report on individuals. The report is about the practice — systems, roles, and where the work is landing in the wrong place. Nothing goes to your team unless you send it.

How is this different from other programs? +

I've spent 33 years inside healthcare as a practitioner, owning my own clinic for more than 25 of them, and I've worked inside more than 80 clinics as a locum. Most practice coaches are extrapolating from one practice — their own. Everything here is shaped by the clinical, business, and ethical realities you actually work in.

Can I just talk to you first? +

Yes. Book a free 15-minute consult using the button below. No obligation.
